Our Story

Supplies for the Soul is a family owned retail store in Nipissing First Nation. The store began in 2009 after the closing of a local leather supplies store. Yvette Bellefeuille witnessed a gap in access to supplies that could help Indigenous communities like hers grow and heal. Starting with one wall of beads, needles, and a basket of leather, people came into our home seeking supplies to continue traditional practices.

The in-home store grew with the help of Yvette’s husband and children.

​Supplies for the Soul has outgrown the home, and now has its storefront on a new business centre on Highway 17.
